Kirin is said to be one of the most notable legendary creatures of China’s sacred beasts but, to the people of Hamasaka, Kirinjishi is a more respected and loved guardian. It is a demon that is on the earth to call upon the good to exorcise the evil on the earth.
This Kirinjishi dance is the heart of our ancestors passed down from generation to generation and it is now performed in the eight area of Hamasaka.
