You can go to Shin-onsen on the JR San'in line. First, take an express train from Osaka or Kyoto to Kinosaki Onsen, and from there take a local train to JR Hamasaka station. Along the way you can enjoy various local scenery. At Hamasaka station you can rest your feet in the nearby foot bath after your long journey.
